Dr. Shizan expertise lies in management of various type of cancers using advanced radiotherapy techniques, which are aimed at targeting the cancer with extreme precision like Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Rapid Arc (VMAT),Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Respiratory gating / Deep inspiration Breath hold (DIBH) Technique, PETCT / MRI based RT planning.

He is well trained in performing intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures for the treatment of Gynaecological malignancies, breast, head & neck cancers and soft tissue sarcomas.

He has special interest in the management of Central nervous system tumours, Hemato-Lymphoid & Pediatric Tumors, Head & Neck, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary , Breast cancers and bone soft tissue sarcomas. He has handled more than 4000 cases so far.

Prior to joining this institute Dr Shizan has worked as full time Consultant Radiation and Clinical Oncologist at Reliance cancer centre, Akola which is a branch of Grant Medical Collage & hospital Mumbai (JJ.Group )

He is trained at the apex cancer institute of India, the Tata Memorial Hospital where he pursued his MD in Radiation Oncology followed by Senior residency and has good experience of working with world-leaders in the field of oncology.

He has also worked as research fellow in department of Radiation oncology and was involved in clinical research trials at Tata memorial hospital , Mumbai and Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) Kharghar ,Navi Mumbai
